Returns & refunds
Last updated 26 October 2026
You have consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA). This policy explains how returns work on SA Shops.
Changed your mind (cooling-off)
Under ECTA you may cancel an online purchase within 7 days of delivery without giving a reason. The item must be unused, in its original packaging, with tags attached. You pay the cost of returning it.
Faulty or wrong items
If an item is defective, not what you ordered, or not as described, you may return it within 6 months for a repair, replacement or refund (CPA section 56). The shop covers the return courier cost.
Items that can't be returned
For hygiene reasons, opened cosmetics, underwear, swimwear and earrings can't be returned unless faulty. Personalised or made-to-order items can only be returned if faulty.
How to return something
- Go to My account โ Orders and open the order.
- Contact the shop using the details on its storefront, with your order number and photos if the item is faulty.
- The shop will reply with the return address or pickup point.
- Once the shop receives and checks the item, your refund is processed within [X] business days to the bank account you paid from.
